Cup phones in the time of Coronavirus

The kids got to choose a family movie. So, they chose the Adam Sandler screwball movie, Grown Ups.

In one scene, the kids play with cup phones.

The 10 year old was amazed.

Do they really work?

Obviously, if there’s a question then there’s gotta be an answer, too.

We made cup phones during our coronavirus creativity family activity the next day.

They worked.

But the kid pointed out that the line wasn’t very clear.

I pointed out that he was using cups and a string. Perhaps, I suggested, that is the reason we use smartphones today.

“Oh right.”

But at night, we’re still using the cup phones. They’re newer and cooler.
