From educators to psychologists, dog handlers to farmers, students to artists, neighbors to communicators – the grassroots initiatives and the people volunteering to help at this time, since October 7th, is truly what being “Israeli” is all about.
For a long time, Israel has been synonymous with extending aid to the world in the wake of natural disasters.
When the need is at home, this remarkable spirit goes into overdrive.
Every day I hear of a new initiative.
They won’t make the international headlines.
But the stories of these initiatives deserve to be told, shared and known.
These are the doings of the “regular” people. And these doings are remarkable.
